Help Janey Lee and Kylie Walton recover from severe burn injuries sustained during a pre-run vehicle fire ahead of the San Felipe 250. 100% of UTV Source proceeds go directly to their Road 2 Recovery fundraiser.
The Road 2 Recovery Foundation has launched a dedicated fundraising effort to support off-road racers Janey Lee and Kylie Walton following a devastating vehicle fire during a pre-run ahead of the San Felipe 250.
The pre-run took a violent turn when fire engulfed the cabin of their race vehicle in the Baja desert. What followed wasn’t panic. It was instinct.
Kylie didn’t think twice. She stayed in the burning car, fighting through the heat and flames to get Janey out. That split-second decision is the reason Janey made it out of the vehicle to drop and roll, putting the fire out on herself.
Both racers were airlifted to a specialized burn center in the United States, where they remain in stable condition. Their recovery will be long and demanding — extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and ongoing support over many months.
“Kylie’s actions saved Janey. That kind of instinct and commitment is what defines this community.”

Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and the months of rehab work it takes to recover mobility, strength, and function.
Rent, groceries, family travel, and daily costs while Janey and Kylie focus on healing instead of work for the months ahead.
Ongoing treatment, scar management, mental-health support, and the long-tail care needs that follow an injury of this scale.

The road back starts with small wins. Janey shared a recent update from her recovery on Instagram — one of the clearest signs that the community’s support is reaching her.
Janey posted directly to her Instagram page sharing where she’s at in the recovery process and thanking the off-road community for the outpouring of support since the incident.
Recovery from Stage 2 and Stage 3 burns is measured in months, not weeks. Every donation, every comment, every share keeps the financial weight off them so they can focus on healing.

Kylie Walton didn’t hesitate. That kind of instinct and commitment is what defines this community.
Now it’s time to return that support. UTV Source is asking the off-road community, industry partners, and riders across the space to step in and help where possible. Every contribution — no matter the size — goes toward helping Janey and Kylie focus on recovery instead of the financial weight that follows an incident like this.
Situations like this hit close to home, and the response is always the same: riders backing riders.
