Heretic Studio UTV Headlights - Billet Machined!

This is the factory headlight of 2020 Turbo S Dynamic Polaris that UTV Source is building. Today we are going to upgrade these Heretic headlights. The factory headlights are LED and pretty bright as well. For an OEM manufacturer, these LED headlights side-by-side are pretty nice.

This is the Heretic Headlight which is also LED. This one we ordered raw and decided to powder coat the heat sinks or the housing on it to match the hood. As you can see it comes with a really nice machine face plate and tooling path.

The big difference between the factory headlight and the heretic headlight is going to be the output. By installing the Heretic headlight, we’ve basically put a light bar in our headlight. I personally think it looks really good.

The Build

As already stated, the difference is in the output. The Heretic Headlight is going to give you almost twice the output from your factory headlight.

Heretic headlight composes of three individual, adjustable LED lights that can be customized. We had them custom powder coated. Each LED light has two o’rings inside of it for moisture. They twist and come with a weather pack that you can plug in directly.

The factory headlights are themselves quite good looking and bright but if you want to increase your light (brightness) Heretic Headlight is the way to go.

On Polaris you have one operating light (basically, a halo) but when you switch on your dash all three of them turn on. With the Heretic headlight, when they turn on you have a light bar in each headlight.

What Models Do They Fit?

Heretic headlights are made in a couple of different variations. You can get these lights for a Turbo S, XP Turbo, XP 1000, the Polaris General, and the RS1. They do have a pretty extensive lineup to accommodate many makes and models.

How to Customize?

These cylinders come in a couple of different powdercoat options, but if you want a custom color, we recommend you order them in raw finish and take them to a local powdercoater.

We went to our local powder coating shop and gave them the three cylinders. I must say, they did a great job at powder coating them.

The Headlight Demo

When we installed them and switched them on in front of the wall you can clearly see on the toolbox is your factory OEM headlight and on the wall, there’s just one of the LED piercing through the wall.

These are just the two of the five LEDs plus the top glow on that light.

This is one LED from the heretic headlight. It is extremely bright. Right off the bat, the lighting is direct.

When you turn all of them on, this is the factory headlight. It has a pretty good output.

This the Heretic headlight. There is really no comparison.

The Install

The install is pretty cut-and-dried. You remove the bolts on the front fascia and some down on the sides. Once done you have access to the hardware. There are springs attached to the headlights. The factory one are floating in there for vibration.

To set up the headlights you just have to deal with 3 bolts. Keep the spring on and install the new headlight.

Once done with both of the headlights, here are the results.

You basically have a light bar in each headlight. You can even adjust the three as they can move around. You can set them how you like.

If you have any questions send them in, we’re always trying our best to get back to everyone as fast as possible.
