Kawasaki Joins the Low Speed Vehicle Dealer Association

Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. has officially joined the Low Speed Vehicle Dealer Association (LSVDA) as a member, following the brand’s expansion into the Personal Transportation Vehicle (PTV) category. Kawasaki is also supporting the association as a platinum sponsor.

Kawasaki’s entry into the PTV space is led by the Kawasaki NAV, the company’s first dedicated personal transportation vehicle. Designed specifically for everyday neighborhood use, the NAV reflects how customers are using electric low speed vehicles today, with a focus on comfort, practicality, and ease of use.

The NAV features a premium, sporty design with seating for the whole family, along with a category-first fold-flat seat, expandable front and rear storage, integrated cupholders, USB ports, and full LED lighting. The platform is built to balance functionality with a relaxed driving experience, making it well suited for short trips and daily cruising.

“We are excited to welcome Kawasaki to the Low Speed Vehicle Dealer Association,” said Michael Alexander, Executive Director of the LSVDA. “Kawasaki’s participation supports our mission to serve dealers and advance the personal transportation vehicle market through innovation, education, and industry collaboration.”

Drawing on decades of experience in powersports and side by side vehicle development, Kawasaki approached the NAV as a purpose-built electric platform rather than a modified existing vehicle. The NAV is assembled in Lincoln, Nebraska using a mix of foreign and domestic parts, reinforcing Kawasaki’s long-term commitment to manufacturing quality and customer experience in the United States.
