Support for Janey Lee & Kylie Walton After San Felipe 250 Incident

The Road 2 Recovery Foundation has launched a dedicated fundraising effort to support off-road racers Janey Lee and Kylie Walton following a devastating vehicle fire during a pre-run ahead of the San Felipe 250.

What Happened

Kylie didn’t think twice. She stayed in the burning car, fighting through the heat and flames to get Janey out. That split-second decision is the reason Janey made it out of the vehicle to drop and roll, putting the fire out on herself.

Kylie’s actions saved Janey.

Injuries & Current Condition

Both athletes sustained serious burn injuries and were airlifted to a specialized burn center in the United States, where they remain in stable condition.

Janey
- Stage 2 and Stage 3 burns to legs, shoulder, and arm
Kylie
- Stage 2 and Stage 3 burns to hands during the rescue

Their recovery will be long and demanding, requiring extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and ongoing support.
