Description

CT Race Worx Can-Am Maverick R Tall Knuckle

Transform the Can-Am Maverick R's handling and tire capacity with the highly engineered CT Race Worx Tall Knuckle Kit. Developed through over a year of rigorous testing, this premium upgrade allows drivers to effortlessly fit massive 37-inch tires with ample room for high-speed tire growth, or even 39-inch tires for slow-speed rock crawling. Far beyond a simple clearance modification, this comprehensive system is strictly designed to perform at elite racing levels with absolutely zero performance drawbacks. By utilizing American-made 7075 billet aluminum for the knuckles alongside 4130 chromoly upper A-arms and 4140 chromoly outer tie rod ends, this kit delivers uncompromising strength for extreme off-road abuse.

The true advantage of this sophisticated setup lies in its revolutionary suspension geometry improvements. By introducing true Ackermann steering geometry, the kit completely eliminates slow-speed steering scrub and frustrating front-end pushing, allowing the inside and outside tires to turn in precise, distinct arcs. Furthermore, a significantly lowered roll center drastically reduces vehicle body roll while keeping the front end heavily planted for maximum traction and compliance. Complete with dynamic camber changes for high-speed stability and interchangeable steering mounts to swap between two-seat and four-seat configurations, this elite package requires the use of CT Race Worx Pro Desert or Pro Rock A-arms to achieve ultimate front-end perfection.

Features

  • Safely accommodates massive 37-inch off-road tires
  • Ackermann steering geometry completely eliminates front-end scrub
  • Lowered roll center dramatically reduces vehicle body roll
  • Machined from American-made 7075 billet aluminum blocks
  • Requires Pro Desert or Pro Rock lower A-arms
  • Includes heavy-duty 4130 chromoly upper control arms

Specifications

  • American Made 7075 construction, starts as a 325 lb block of material and gets milled down to a 24 lb part
  • Steering attachment point is bolted on but utilizes a keyway and boss in different planes, so there is mechanical attachment without relying on hardware to solely hold it on. Also no bolts thread directly into the aluminum knuckle so no soft aluminum threads to fail and pull out. All hardware is ARP and 1 bolt location shares a unit bearing bolt. The purpose of this piece was to allow us to have multiple steering configurations. Since Ackermann is wheelbase specific this allows people to switch from a 4 seat to 2 seat, or the other way around, and not have the expense of buying new knuckles, just the tie rod mount
  • An FK uniball (WSSX14T 7/8") takes the place of the factory balljoint. A debris cap is installed with a circlip to keep debris from the tires from getting thrown up in the bottom of the uniball and causing premature wear and contacting the spindle pin bolt. The heat treated 17-4 spindle pin is an 1/8" larger than the factory balljoint
  • Upper A-Arms construction is made from 4130 chromoly and is tig welded. These arms fit with factory plastics.  Smart shock mounting points are in the factory location so the system does not need to relearn.  Upper arms accept all 3.0 front shocks
  • Outer tie rod ends are included as well which are made from 4140 chromoly that is zinc plated and use a 3/4" FK uniball with stainless steel misalignment spacers

Fitment

  • Can-Am Maverick R

Notes

  • This kit includes tall knuckles, upper a-arms and outer tie rod ends, all which are specific to the tall knuckle setup. CT Race Worx Pro Desert or Pro Rock A-Arms using their patented double shear system MUST be used
