KWI Clutching Can-Am Defender / Maverick X3 PD HD Float
The KWI PD HD Float is a precision-engineered clutch upgrade for the 2025+ Can-Am Defender HD11 and base-model X3 135hp (Turbo R) machines. These vehicles are equipped with the BRP PDrive primary system, which suffers from a combination of factory alignment issues, clutch drag, and premature roller wear that leads to hard shifting, belt drag, and frequent belt failures.
This Float system solves all of that by machining the secondary clutch to float—allowing it to self-align with the primary for better engagement, improved belt tracking, and reduced heat. It also includes resurfaced sheaves, our PD Update to prevent primary sticking, and a fresh set of OEM BRP primary rollers.

Roller Maintenance Notice
- All PDrive Float packages now include BRP OEM primary rollers. These are known wear items and should be inspected after every ride. If you feel side-to-side play or see wear, replace immediately to avoid idle clutch drag and performance issues.
