Description
The Shock Therapy Polaris RZR XP 1000/Turbo Race Rack and Short Pinion Non-Turbo is a high-quality, race-ready steering rack designed to withstand the harshest racing conditions. Built with durability and performance in mind, this rack offers superior strength and precision steering.
Constructed from 7075 aluminum, a high-grade material that is almost as strong as carbon steel, this rack ensures maximum durability and longevity. It is also hard anodized for added protection against wear and tear, extending the life of the rack internally. The grease passage lubrication system, with a single grease fitting dispersing grease to six different spots within the rack, ensures proper lubrication and prevents potential wear.
One of the standout features of this race rack is its massive 1"x1" square rack gear. This gear is twice as thick as the stock round gear, providing superior strength and preventing bending and breakage. The square gear design also eliminates twisting forces, which can lead to rack gear failure. Additionally, the pre-heat treated rack gear ensures straightness and eliminates the need for increased clearances, resulting in a zero-tolerance rack with minimal play.
The rack's patent-pending gear tooth design offers twice the base thickness of a standard tooth design, making it significantly stronger and less prone to breakage. The pinion gear is made from 4140 Chromoly material and is heat treated to a 60 Rockwell, providing superior strength and longevity. The pinion bearing system, with a unique design that prevents tightening and slowing down rack function, ensures smooth and efficient steering.
With a faster steering ratio than the stock rack, this race rack rotates the wheel just past 3/4 of a turn from center, offering quicker and more responsive steering. The rack also features high-quality, Teflon-lined FK JMX10-T rod ends and a patent-pending "Taper Lock" system for the jam nuts, preventing loosening and ensuring a positive lock.
Please note that this steering rack is a race part and does not come with a warranty. Improper installation or maintenance may cause premature wear. It is designed specifically for racing purposes and requires aftermarket tie rods that use 5/8 rod ends. While race parts will eventually wear out and require rebuilding, this race rack guarantees the highest level of performance and reliability in any racing situation.
