Similar to its predecessor, the TSS (Turn Signal System), the ATS boasts a Plug and Play easy installation that requires no cutting or crimping. It consists of a small solid-state control box that performs its functions, distinguishing itself from the previous generation's larger control box. Just like the TSS, the ATS Self-Canceling Turn Signal Kit is a modular design with vehicle-specific SKUs, making it compatible with the XTC Street Legal Kit for riders looking to complete a fully street-ready setup.
How the ATS Works
Each ATS part number includes a marine-grade rocker switch featuring laser-cut directional arrows that flash green when activated. With a simple press of the turn signal rocker switch, the ATS will activate the turn blinker for a short duration and then self-cancel, perfect for quick lane changes. For longer turns, an extended press of the rocker switch will yield a longer blinker duration. You can also manually cancel the turn signal by pushing the actuator a second time, especially useful when paired with the XTC Blinker Kit for full functionality.
Additional Features
The ATS also includes a 'Hazard/Horn' rocker switch. Pressing the top side of the actuator activates the hazard lights, pressing it again deactivates them. Pressing the lower portion of the custom rocker switch activates the street-legal FIAMM horn, which complements the XTC Street Legal Kit for full compliance with road regulations.
Installing the ATS is straightforward. Each kit comes with a vehicle-specific harness that plugs inline with the rear factory taillight harness. The brake light signal passes through the ATS, allowing the opposing brake light to function normally while the activated turn signal brake light flashes. All ATS kits also include an auxiliary power out for a license plate light or whip lights, allowing seamless integration with the XTC Blinker Kit and optional XTC Street Legal Kit for a complete setup.
