KC HiLiTES Multi-Function Rear Chase Light Bar
KC HiLiTES Rear Chase Light
KC HiLiTES has been in the business for over 50 years. They probably have one of the best warranties for their products. Even though you don’t get a fancy box packaging but you do get a quality light with a great warranty.
Not to forget, they have great customer service too. I have this light on all of my UTVs because this is a personal favorite. This light bar by KC HiLiTES is universal which means you can put it on a truck, a trailer, or any other vehicle.

The rear chase lightbar is a multi-function lightbar. You have a harness and a lead attached to the lights. There are going to be a bunch of wires but don’t let them scare you. As this is a multi-function light bar you will have a lot of wires in the system. Check out the mounting instructions from the instructions manual that comes with the light bar because this is where you will also find the details on which wire goes where and what exactly each wire is for.
In this particular light bar, you can get a few different options.
- You have two reds: for driving, and for brake lights.
- The next two lights are amber lights. Keep in mind, these ambers can also strobe.
- You can opt-out of amber lights to replace them with blue lights (different part #). Blue represents racing. It’s usually a required light in racing. In some series, you have to run a particular series of lights in which you have a blue light set.
- The center lights are the rear backup lights or your clears.
Price Point Vs. Quality
The price point on this light is great. You get six lights in one bar. You get a multi-function light bar, strobe, solid backup, driving, and brake lights - all in one piece.
The bunch of wires can be a bit intimidating at first but if you skim through the instructions you get a thorough idea of what goes where and how.
Mounting
The box comes with the bracket tree and the mounting. It’s pretty simple to mount this light - you can follow the universal mounting principles.
- An extruding piece of aluminum acts as a housing.
- To mount pop the cap off and insert the bolts into the back of the light bar on any position through the slide.
- Once done, you simply mount it on to your vehicle.
You can even pick up any additional tube clamp mounts on the UTV Source website. An example would be the Assault Industries Universal Mount.
You can even tap this light bar right on to your existing plastics or have it put into a wing light/wing housing.
It may not look super fancy but there is no doubt about the value this one light bar can give you. The light is usually mounted up high on your cage. The driver behind you in the dust will find it super helpful to locate you and hit their brakes in time. The strobes and the ambers are visible even through the dust. At night you can use this same light bar to see what’s behind you and know where you are headed.
