KC HiLiTES - Where It Started and the Future Ahead
KC HiLiTES started with the basic need for proper lighting for off-road adventures in Parker, AZ. From there, KC's HiLiTES founder Pete Brown created a company that would be a part of off-road culture forever.
Beginning of Off-Road Lightning
So Pete camped in Parker Arizona and decided he needed better lighting. There were no off-road lighting at the time so he found aircraft landing bulbs and housings put him on his truck...KC was born. They started in races, and it just exploded from there. And as KC became famous, he assembled the lights in his garage and as it became too much for him, he employed neighborhood stay-at-home housewives to assemble piecework for him.Thus they began with initially aircraft landing lights which at the time was superior to the lighting in existence at that time and since then they have made innovations and refinements to their products which allow them to generate much more light yet to be reliable for off-road competitors. They were also big in off-road racing with KC having developed the off-road lighting market and many racers have relied on KC over the years to get them through the finish line.
