2021 Can-Am Maverick X3 KC HiLiTES x UTV Source
The KC HiLiTES crew wanted to do a refresh on their Can-Am Maverick X3 and took it over Rick's place to get the full UTV Source build.
Mild To Wild
The project began with a well-used Can-Am X3. The goal was clear: strip it down and rebuild it into something much meaner. Rick and KC team took to the task by stripping it down to stock to get it ready for the overhaul. It needed to be something robust and ready to tackle any challenge thrown in front of it.
Partners To Get It Done
KC HiLiTES unsurprisingly had a great lighting kit for this build. A full FLEX ERA package including the new FLEX ERA LED Light Bar up top and on the bumper. SF Raceworks took care of some of the safety and aesthetics with a cage complete with window nets, doors, mirrors, and bumper. CA Tech USA and Shock Therapy made up the suspension package with upgrades to the stock "clunky" suspension we typically find in Maverick X3's. Shock Therapy re-valved the shocks and included their dual-rate spring kit to make this Can-Am ride like butter. CA Tech's boxed arms provide strength and style over the stock arms everything else is double sheared to ensure a solid build. Additional style and comfort is handled thanks to DRT Motorsports and PRP with a fender kit and full interior package. The whole build sits on 35" BFGoodrich KM3's wrapped around the multi-colt pattern Axe Cerus Beadlock Wheels.
The Final Product
The week long thrash finally ended with a "pretty crazy machine" ready to hit Sands Sports Super Show to debut the FLEX ERA LED Light Bar to the UTV world. The upgrades made to the suspension, structural components, and overall design transformed this Can-Am into a high-performance off-road vehicle that stands out in any setting.
